SANTOS AND REGION CVB
Santos and Region Convention & Visitors Bureau is a non-profit association, created on April 08, 2002 by the union of the private sector, public authorities and professional associations. The central office is in Santos, São Paulo, but it broadens its operation to nine other cities: Bertioga, Cubatão, Guarujá, São Vicente, Praia Grande, Mongaguá, Itanhaém and Peruíbe. This region is now called The Coast of the Atlantic Forest.
The main objective of the association is the region’s economic and social promotion through the business and leisure tourism. Having this in mind, the association works together with the private sector and public authorities, to attract events for the region and to promote it in national and international levels.
The Membership of Santos and Region CVB is formed by the top companies in the region of several segments, besides the professional associations and the local government of each of the nine cities.
The main roles of Santos and Region CVB are: promoting the region as a top destination for business and leisure tourism; helping attract and support the organization of technical and scientific events; enhancing hotel and restaurant chains; enabling the qualification and training of entrepreneurs and workers of the tourism sector; developing projects for the region; and so forth.
